Ultrasound
Private Ultrasound and Doppler Ultrasound services are now available at Canada Diagnostic Centres.
Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to produce pictures of organs, tissues and blood flow. Because ultrasound images are captured in real-time, they can show the structure and movement of the body's internal organs, as well as blood flowing through vessels.
Doppler ultrasound uses a computer to convert measurements into an array of colours to visualize the speed and direction of blood flow through a vessel.

Pelvis (female) - Empty bladder two hours prior to the exam, then drink two eight-ounce glasses of water between one & two hours before the exam. Do not empty the bladder during the two hours prior to your appointment.
