Ultrasound Screening

Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to produce pictures of organs, tissues and blood flow. Because ultrasound images are captured in real-time, they can show the structure and movement of your body’s internal organs, as well as blood flowing through vessels.

Our Centre operates the Siemens Acuson S2000 Colour Doppler Ultrasound system; Doppler ultrasound uses a computer to convert measurements into an array of colours to visualize the speed and direction of blood flow through a vessel.
